ooo the video inspired me to give this place a peek i might have to make my own website, this seems super cozy i had fun dressing up my website for my game on itch.io, and my game's aesthetic would be great for decorating a webpage i think and i've been worried lately about the AI and botting takeover on the internet, that it will get harder to find anything real online... but the chaos of only navigating via weblinks is exactly what this is all about

Hello, I am VoL. I'm a twitch Vtuber, for now. I've been interested in this site, & the old school web in general. I wanted to participate in the chatroom, but seeing as it has been closed down, I feel content with leaving a message here. I imagine we all feel the same way about how things are going with big tech & the web in general; not great. If it isn't GenAi, spyware or en-you-know-what-ification, it's something else. We can't go back in time to the 1990's, or whatever glorious year came before today, but I personally believe, in terms of our relationship with tech & the web, we can pause, retrace our steps, & change trajectory to a brighter, better future, like we were promised. That is my ultimate goal, being here. Onio.club seems just right for the start to our next chapter of the online experience. As a vtuber, I want to give websites like Onio, LowTechMagazine & others some well deserved publicity. There will be a time to remove the rosey goggles & face reality, but who says we can't take a pause & put them on to bask in the sunny warmth of nostalgia for respite? Whether it's gaming, research or interacting with others, I want to enjoy the online experience again. I want to take it back from greedy corporates & GenAi. It'll be a tough fight, but we can come out from under the thumb of monopolist tycoons & plutocratic oligarchs, reclaim the web & the real world too! Something as potent as the internet never came without responsibility. When we aren't touching grass, which we should do when the weather permits, & we aren't enjoying the games other lovely websites, it'll be time for some action. But until then, I'll be pleased to make your acquaintance, & enjoy perusing the real internet, the best internet, made for & by people. I haven't built a functioning website, as of yet, but I hope to get inspired & eventually build something that will help everyone play their part in taking it all back, just a little more.
